Dear RodBuster,
In our last letter, we talked about how proud we are to be a U.S. manufacturer and the investments we’ve made to keep production here at home. That belief hasn’t changed, in fact, it’s only gotten stronger.
We’re excited to share that MAR-MAC is now manufacturing slab bolster products right here in our Timmonsville, South Carolina location. We’ve added new slab bolster machines and are proud to say these products are now officially Made in America with pride and sprinkled with a little South Carolina grit- the way they should be. This is just another step toward reducing our dependence on imports and building more of what we need right here at home.
You may have noticed that the Rodbuster Store was offline for a little while this year. That’s because we moved it from an outside vendor to being fully in-house, where we now handle all the picking, packing, and shipping ourselves. This was a big transition, but it means better quality control and more flexibility moving forward. The store is now back online, fully stocked, and running strong.
One thing that continues to blow us away is how popular our Honorary Rodbuster Degree program has become. What started as a simple nod of respect has turned into a full-on movement. There’s now a spot right on our website under the Rodbuster tab where you can fill out a quick form, and we’ll ship one straight to you. If you have been in the field for 5 or more years, head on over and request one. If you’ve earned your stripes, this is your paper.
Meanwhile, tariffs on imported construction products and steel are still a major point of discussion. While opinions vary, we’ve seen firsthand how these policies can level the playing field and protect American jobs which is something that matters deeply to us. We’ll keep doing everything we can to make the most of these changes and continue offering you the best U.S.-made products out there.
Mackinaw Ironworkers Festival – This year’s festival did not disappoint. We had the chance to shake hands with ironworkers from every corner of the country, swap stories, and watch some of the fastest, cleanest tying we’ve ever seen. Hard hats off to every competitor who left it all on the line. The skill, speed, and grit on display were a reminder of why we love this trade and the people in it. We came home with sore cheeks from smiling so much, a pile of great photos, and even more pride in the Rodbuster community.
Our Fall 2025 design is called “The Last American Cowboy” – a rugged, western-inspired remake of a classic design we offered years ago, now reimagined with even more grit and detail. It’s made for rodbusters who wrangle rebar day in and day out. We hope you enjoy this design as much as we do!
